An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
